In response to a submittal to the State from attorney Faulkner asking that the case be dropped, the State dropped all charges.

RELIEF SOUGHT BY OPPOSING PARTY The State sought to prosecute T.B. for the alleged offense of Felony Domestic Violence.

DISPOSITION Attorney Faulkner acted quickly by obtaining from the alleged victim a sworn statement declining prosecution and had T.B. complete a four-hour anger management class. Attorney Faulkner then provided the State with the sworn statement and proof of the class completion, thereby convincing the State to drop all charges.

A.G. v. D.G.

RELIEF SOUGHT BY OPPOSING PARTY Attorney Faulkner represented A.G. in a divorce case against D.G. The parties had been married for 10 years and D.G. was unemployed whereas A.G. made substantial income. D.G. sought to hurt D.G. by making criminal allegations against him to both law enforcement and to A.G.’s federal law enforcement employer. D.G. also sought alimony from A.G. and a share of A.G.’s federal pension.

DISPOSITION Attorney Faulkner was able to get the case settled with these results in favor of A.G.:

  • A.G. had to pay NO alimony;
  • A.G. was able to keep his entire pension;
  • D.G. was prohibited from making any further allegations about past events to either law enforcement or to A.G.’s employer.

DISPOSITION Attorney Faulkner’s strategy in the case resulted in D.W. getting a withhold of adjudication (NO CONVICTION) as to the amended charge of reckless driving (a better charge), just a fine and court costs with NO LICENSE SUSPENSION. The sentence was so favorable to D.W. that the judge thought it was too lenient and had to be convinced to accept the resolution.
